We aim to give everyday children, regardless of circumstance, the opportunity to use the one thing they all have- imagination.

To produce songs for children in need. The imagination of children who have fallen victim to circumstance has the power to capture what is common and pure in us all. In conjunction with music, which has the ability to carry those messages across borders, stigmas and stereotypes, we hope to further an understanding that we’re ultimately all the same. Such an understanding could foster greater compassion, healing and peace throughout the world.

By providing children with the opportunity to express themselves through story writing, we instill in them the knowledge that their voices matter to many. In turn, we try to bring those voices to those amongst us with the largest microphones in hopes of reminding us all that we have more in common than we often think. We believe in the imaginations of children.

Our program is structured to provide children in need the chance to write and illustrate stories. We then distribute those stories to songwriters who turn them into songs and send them back to the children via our program. The stories and songs are posted on our website – www.SingMeAStory.org.
