Limpopo has the highest level of poverty of any South African province, with 78.9% of the population living below the national poverty line. This province attracts many tourists for its beautiful nature but local investment for services and education is limited. Most schools do not have the basic resources to provide education.

Most nursery or edu-care facilities in rural Limpopo Province don’t have access to the most basic resources and facilities that children need to assist in their early childhood development. This can have a profound negative impact on their ability to keep pace with formal education provided once they enter primary school. We hope to have a lifelong impact in each childs life.

Partnered with a local school and creche we will work with them to make improvements on the initial need for improving the infrastrucuture and resources. This has already had an immediate and critical impact locally on the lives of the children that attend this school or creche. There is still more work to be done to empower the local teaching staff and provide them with the resources to be able to teach and inspire our next generation.

We have already seen the positive impact that our classes have had through the change of attitudes towards the environment these children live in. There is always more work to be done to create environmental awareness. We hope to engage and excite as many students and teachers as possible to preserve their natural resources, ensuring survival for many generations to come. This project will empower the students and staff of these educational institutes with the resources and knowledge they need to protect and preserve our natural world. In the process, it will also improve language skills for the children which will equip them to achieve further education. Funds raised will provide students & staff with a safe, resourceful, positive environment, where they can grow, develop, learn and have fun.
